This organization is a wonderful resource for ANY parent but particularly for parents who have children with special needs. They help with advocating for and empowering families to make the right educational and therapeutic decisions for their children. They run numerous support groups and also hold workshops for parents.
The Autism Project of RI

This organization has numerous resources for families with an Autistic child. They have special classes to help train parents on how to live daily life with their newly diagnosed child. They offer fun programs for children on the spectrum like playgroups and music classes. They also run a summer camp, and hold support group meetings.
